The MHBA is sponsoring a fundraiser reception jointly with the MTHA and MJC for Maryland House of Delegates Speaker Michael E. Busch on Friday, Dec. 15 in the Directors’ Room at Laurel Park.

In a letter to MHBA members, MHBA president Willie White stated: “Fundraising for the Legislators that support our industry is a necessary part of how we protect our position in Annapolis. Our financial support provides candidates that recognize the value of what we do with the resources required to run an effective campaign, and remain in office, as well as candidates that are not currently elected officials to win elections.

“Speaker Busch has been a very important voice for our industry and deserves our continued support. Please make every effort to attend this event and contribute accordingly. The Maryland State budget will always be in play and we must continually work to keep our positive image in front of those that will ultimately influence the final expenditures.”
