LEXINGTON, KY (March 14, 2022) – Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced today they will pay tribute to 2021 Horse of the Year Knicks Go with a special ‘Knicks Go Week’ presented by the Maryland Horse Breeders Association.

Beginning Tuesday, March 15, HRRN will recognize the achievements of Knicks Go on their extensive talk show platform with replays of his biggest wins along with interviews and conversations looking back on his racing career. Knicks Go will also be featured on HRRN’s social media pages, email newsletters and website throughout the week.

Owned by Korea Racing Authority and trained by two-time Eclipse Award winning trainer Brad Cox, Maryland-bred Knicks Go accumulated career earnings of more than $9 million while winning 5 Grade 1 races including the 2021 Pegasus World Cup Invitational and Breeders’ Cup Classic. The son of Paynter now stands at Taylor Made Farm in Nicholasville, KY.

“What a great horse, bred with love and care by a small breeder in Maryland! We are so proud of his accomplishments and all of the positive attention he has brought to the sport of horse racing and to Maryland,” said Cricket Goodall, Executive Director of the Maryland Horse Breeders Association. “During his stellar career this horse has really touched all of his connections and fans from Kentucky to Korea, but his first hoof prints and his roots are in Maryland.”

The first in a series of “Horse Weeks” set to be presented on HRRN in 2022, ‘Knicks Go Week’ concludes with the network’s popular Equine Forum Show presented by TwinSpires on Saturday, March 19.

HRRN shows can be heard across North America on Sirius 219/XM 201 with live streaming and podcasts made available on the network’s website, www.horseracingradio.net, along with multiple podcast platforms. A full schedule of all HRRN shows and additional affiliate information can also be found on the site.
