Esteemed Maryland horseman Dickie Small dies at 68

Richard (Dickie) Small, one of Maryland racing's most recognizable trainers whose long career included orchestrating the campaigns of Robert Meyerhoff's multiple Grade 1 winner Broad Brush, and Broad Brush's son Concern, winner of the 1994 Breeders' Cup Classic-G1, died late Friday night, April 4, after a battle with cancer.
